Arsenal News Transfer Rumours

Arsenal’s backup goalkeeper David Ospina might have played his final fixture for the Gunners as the club have agreed a £3 million deal with Turkish club Fenerbahçe, with a medical already scheduled.

The Colombian goalkeeper has featured for the Gunners on around 50 occasions since arriving from OGC Nice in 2014 for £4 million.

The keeper rose to prominence during the World Cup in Brazil and was even linked to becoming Atlético Madrid’s goalkeeper, but the London club prevailed.

Ospina most recently played in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over fierce rivals Chelsea, but the Colombian keeper has expressed his desire to play first-team football on a more consistent basis, something he has not had since the arrival of Petr Čech in 2015.

The goalkeeper is currently on international duty with Colombia but will have to jet off next Thursday to Turkey to finalise his transfer to Fenerbahçe.
